A team of dedicated teachers and leaders, working in a high performance and caring culture, implements wholescale reform of the education system based on different design principles. They maintain an intense focus on high quality instruction and also provide students with experiences to broaden perspective and support the growth of Year 2035 competencies. Third Future Schools holds high expectations for students and staff and believes that everyone can create their future.

Prescott Academy is a free K-8 public charter school in Baton Rouge, preparing students for the Year 2035 and Beyond.

It takes a village to raise a child and at Prescott we understand that. We offer free before and after care for all families from 6:30am - 5pm
‍
Personalized learning - instruction is tailored to the individual needs of the student, and students learn in a way that best meets their learning style.

Prescott has a Read by Three program - Our Read By Three program ensures all students read by the end of third grade. This is a major focus of our schools and we believe that students who enter a Third Future School in kindergarten, first, or second grades will be able to read by the end of third grade.

Unique electives taught by experts in the community, like photography, karate, piano and more.

Counseling, 504, Sped, before/after school care, Positive Behavior Support, Homeless, Migrant.

We believe that learning happens everywhere – both inside and outside of the classroom. To ensure that our students are introduced to as many experiences as possible during their time at our school, we have created the Dyad Program. Examples of our Dyad offerings include:

Students will also have the opportunity to travel to another state or internationally if they meet the eligibility requirements. These trips are fully funded by Third Future Schools.

Open from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm with instruction from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm for K/1, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm for grade 2, and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm for grades 3-8
